Google lays off several hundred employees

Google laid off “ a many hundred ” workers, according to multiple reports. People from multiple divisions were affected, including those working on the Assistant platoon, as well as some from the Hardware platoon, responsible for , Nest home bias and Fitbit wearables. 

 

According to a textbook reviewed by The New York Times, workers entered the following communication 

 

We ’ve had to make some delicate opinions about the ongoing employment of some Google workers, and we lament to inform you that your position is being excluded 

 

Google latterly verified the Assistant cuts and tackle layoffs. A statement from a Google prophet read the company is investing in its “ biggest precedences and significant openings ahead. ” 

 

The Alphabet Workers Union, a group representing further than 1,400 workers at Google's parent company, said the rearmost layoff was “ dispensable ”. The company “ can not continue to fire ourco-workers while making billions every quarter ”, read a post onX.
